by Quincy Bioscience

Prevagen is a called a “brain power supplement” on the official website and claims to perform many key benefits for people who are experiencing memory loss.

Overall, the Prevagen brain supplement claims to help make the brain stronger, healthier and helps to boost your brainpower. In addition to helping with memory loss, Prevagen is supposed to help people concentrate more easily and claims to help people focus more.

Is Prevagen Right For You?

Prevagen is advertised as a brain supplement able to help make the brain stronger, healthier and helps to boost your brainpower. The company behind this supplement is Quincy Bioscience, a biopharmaceutical company focused on the discovery, development and commercialization of different medicines.

The brain will try to protect its cells from degradation generated by the aging process, by producing a special protein that controls the cellular calcium. If the calcium levels are too high, cells will be destroyed. With the natural aging process, this particular protein is generated in smaller amounts which can lead to a high level of calcium in cells.

The producing company claims that Prevagen was developed as a product that promotes and enhances cognitive functions by improving memory and protecting the brain by supplying it with the required protein, apoaequorin (a protein that has the property to bind calcium).

Ingredients of Prevagen

Prevagen includes the following ingredients: apoeaquorin, white rice flour, sodium chloride, magnesium stearate, acetic acid, TRIS buffer and EDTA.

Effectiveness of Prevagen

According to the manufacturer, Prevagen is a brain supplement that has the property to bind calcium in cells, thus reducing the damage which occurs when the body stops to produce enough calcium binding proteins.

To support their claims, Quincy Bioscience provides a number of clinical studies and researches. While these researches haven’t been confirmed by the FDA, the official Prevagen website claims that consumers will feel the first positive results in 30 to 90 days.

The key ingredient in this formula is the apoaequorin protein which is extracted from jellyfish. This protein is responsible for the whole calcium binding process and it was discovered in the early ’60. Quincy Bioscience has conducted a number of researches and it appears that, according to these studies, the apoaequorin protein mainly benefits consumers by enhancing their decision-making skills, mental clarity and it helps them improve the short term and the long term memory.

The manufacturer also claims that Prevagen is side effects free, non-toxic and well tolerated. However, we recommend our readers to consult with a doctor before taking this supplement.

Prevagen Price

A bottle of Prevagen contains 30 capsules, which should be enough for one month of treatment at a recommended dosage of 1 capsule per day.

Prevagen is an expensive brain supplement and some consumers may not be able to afford it. The product should be available for purchase directly from the manufacturer’s website or from various online and offline retailers. Some retailers may offer additional discounts, free shipping or even free bottles for bigger orders.

Does Prevagen Work?

The aging process is a process that affects both body and brain. Prevagen has been advertised as a miraculous supplement that will offer fast and noticeable results. If this product is really as good as advertised by the manufacturer, consumers will greatly benefit from this supplement. However, with the supplement’s shortcomings, caution should be taken prior to its consumption.

The claims behind Prevagen appear to be supported by several clinical studies and researches. While some of these studies have not been confirmed by the FDA, this product does looks promising.

Prevagen is also accompanied by many positive reviews and testimonials. Many consumers have reported improvements after taking this product. Nevertheless, we advice caution and we recommend our readers to further research into this product before making a purchase.

I have become more focused and alert after using this product on a daily basis. As far as the memory booster part, I haven’t really seen much of a difference there.

I used this for a week hoping to get an extra boost in my day. I can say that this does NOTHING. I didn’t notice a change in anything.
